A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet unbelievably intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you will find a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox easily even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you’ve created using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not want this feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
